Oh, What a Glorious Day!

I’ve missed three blog entries as I’ve been enjoying a long Thanksgiving holiday with my daughter, her husband, and their eight kids who were visiting from Palmer, Alaska.

It was a full house to say the least, and we spent an amazing ten days sampling new foods, indulging in turkey and leftovers, and watching lots of kid flics.  We didn’t just sit indoors stuffing our faces but ventured outdoors to geocache, shoot my bow, explore Kalispell, and take a walk on the Trail of the Cedars in Glacier National Park.

As Forrest Gump would say, “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna to get”.  With the exception of two sun shiny days, we had lots of cloudy, cold weather.  So when the sun came out yesterday bright and clear, it was irresistable.

I was compelled to take a ride down through  Lower Valley and take some pictures of the mountains. It was an invigorating and nippy 7 degrees and the valley views were stunning!

The first photo is of Lower Valley Road pointing almost directly to Mount Aeneas – one of our summer hiking trails.

What’s the weather like in your neck of the woods?
