In today’s post I thought I’d share one thing about Montana I’m not so fond of. Usually, I go on about what fun I have and how much I love this place. Today will be a change of pace.
And who could complain about living in Kalispell. To me it feels like a by-gone era, something akin to the charm of Willoughby.
I can’t forget the wildlife. It’s abundant! Some very big wild animals roam our neighborhood. Sometimes they surprise us with their presence. Just the other night a woman was painting her house right before dark when someone stopped at the end of her drive to warn her that a bear was on the other side of her car…reminded me of the time we ran around the corner to see the bear in the tree.
Oops, I’m doing it again. Let me get to the point of this post. Sunrise is getting a bit too late. David wakes up at 4 a.m. every morning, so this is no problem for him. I am not a morning person and waking up in the pitch dark is not something I am particularly fond of, unless I’m going on vacation. I’m bright eyed and bushy tailed for that. Come to think of it, we’ll fall back to standard time next month and sunrise will be at 7 o’clock instead of 8, at least for awhile. But then it will get darker earlier in the evening and David will have to drive home in the dark. He’s not so keen on that.
Looking on the bright side, these dark mornings enable me to actually SEE the sunrise, something I often miss in the summertime because I’m sleeping.
This anonymous author sums it up just right.
“I’d like mornings better if they started later.”
