The Fog

The fog comes on little cat’s feet
It sits looking over harbor and city
On silent haunches
And then moves on.
Poem by Carl Sandburg

The valley is covered in fog today, so I decided to go out and take some pictures. The nice thing about fog is the glistening hoar frost that it produces on trees. Enjoying the beauty of the hoar frost brightens an otherwise gloomy day.

Hoar Frost
I took the photo below while standing above the fog at Lone Pine State Park. The cloud deck is thick over the valley. We live under the fog where the sky is milky and we can’t see the mountains today.

Valley Fog ….shooting into the sun.
